Meet the Finalist: Hwang Jae-Feel, "To Father"
What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
My father took a video of me since I was young. So, my dream was to be an actor since I was young, and as I was an actor, my desire for acting grew.
I studied a lot of acting theory, but I decided to understand the system of movies to be better at acting and studied movies. As one of them, I went beyond acting and even directed.
What's is your all time favorite film? Why is it special to you?
Michael Radford's The Postman / I think knowing how to look at the world the most beautifully is the most enjoyable life. The main character of "Postman" is trying to understand the world and see it beautifully, and it imprinted the ideal life posture that I hope for.
The biggest driving force in my life of making and acting movies is to see and feel the world beautifully.
